"STEVE AOKI TAKES A DIVE
Putting the shock into shock jock and seeming more ninja than DJ, LA-based mix master Steve Aoki launched himself - not kidding - into a booze-covered, sweat-soaked set at the Metro Theatre on Saturday night.
At one incredible point, Aoki - the brother of international catwalker Devon and club pal of Lindsay Logan - jumped on the raised DJ decks and dived into the mosh pit, slamming into the screaming crowd, which simply bounced him back on stage.
As good mate and Ksubi Designer George Gorrow waved from the wings with wife Franziska, the electro artist poured Belvedere vodka into punters' mouths and sprayed them with champagne.
The Reformed drinker's rider record for bubbly is eight bottles of Moet during a gig in Singapore, of all places, but he got only three this time.
Aoki, a keen card shark, is known for hitting the casinos in every port, and Star City spies say he was on a "winning streak" at the poker tables last week."
